Samantha Waldman is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about preventive care, healthy lifestyles, chronic disease management, and women’s health. Originally from Miami, Florida, Samantha later moved to Northern Virginia. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Samantha spent four and a half years as a registered nurse at Inova Fairfax Hospital on a cardiopulmonary progressive care unit, caring for patients with a wide range of cardiac and pulmonary conditions.
Samantha believes strongly in preventive care, patient education, and shared decision making. She feels that patients should understand the reasoning behind their care and treatment plans so they can feel informed and involved in decisions about their health.
Outside of work, Samantha enjoys spending time with friends, going to concerts, going to the beach, spending time outdoors, and reading. As a proud SMU alum, she is always happy to say, Pony Up!
