Serving Ashburn since 2003, we provide comprehensive preventive care from an award-winning team of board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants – many of whom live right here in our community. Our Ashburn office is located in Professional Plaza – in the same location for more than 20 years!

Originally from a military family, she has called Ashburn, Va. home for the past 16 years. Outside of work, Brennah enjoys exploring NOVA’s trails, reading, painting, and traveling to discover hidden gems around the world.

Frederick Purnell, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant with a focus in family medicine and special interests in orthopedics, nutrition, and exercise. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Salisbury University in 2009, followed by a Master of Education in Health Promotion from Virginia Tech in 2011.
Before becoming a Physician Assistant, Fred spent nine years working as a Certified Athletic Trainer. He went on to earn his Master of Physician Assistant degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2021.
Prior to joining Broadlands Family Practice in July 2025, Fred gained valuable experience in both Orthopedics and Family/Internal Medicine.
He currently lives in Ashburn with his wife and two daughters. In his free time, Fred enjoys home improvement projects, spending quality time with his family, and cheering on the Washington Commanders and Baltimore Orioles.
